Stem cell therapy
Cell
therapy involves the introduction of cells directly into
the body for the purpose of healing. The therapeutic function propagates in
single cell. For regenerative medicine, the ultimate goal of cell
therapy is to establish a long-term transplant with the
ability to carry out the organ's functions. A practical example is a bone
marrow transplant, where HSCs are the therapeutic unit,
which inserts the bone marrow and regenerates the whole blood stream.
